Giovanni Scotti Bentivoglio

PhD Student

Giovanni is a PhD student at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen. His research interests lie at the intersection of demography, development economics and public economics, with a focus on socio-economic inequality over the life course and the transmission of poverty across generations. His research will be carried out working in close contact with LCDS within the Mapineq project.

Prior to joining the University of Groningen, Giovanni completed a Master’s Degree in Economic and Social Sciences at Bocconi University, where he worked as student research assistant at the IGIER centre. He also worked as research assistant with the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and as trainee at the Bank of Italy.

Giovanni’s work will be supported by Mapineq project’s funds and Groningen University.
