Yan Liu

DPhil Student

Yan Liu is a DPhil student in Sociology at the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science. Her DPhil project focuses on the impact of social and environmental factors on cognitive function and how the impact might vary by genetic susceptibility. She is also interested in sex differences in health and health-care reform in China.

Prior to starting a DPhil at the LCDS, Yan has obtained a bachelor’s degree in Preventive Medicine joint with a dual degree in Economics at Peking University in China. Hereafter, she has received the degree of Master of Public Health from Peking University.
