Neil Wary
Neil is a DPhil student at the Nuffield Department of Population Health. His research uses epidemiological techniques to address pressing biosocial issues, particularly with genetics. His most recent work used Mendelian Randomization to identify biomarkers associated with insulin sensitivity. He has worked at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Stanford Medicine on projects spanning cardiovascular disease, regeneration, and community health in low-resource settings.
Prior to joining LCDS, Neil taught high school research methods in Zimbabwe, and before that studied human biology and epidemiology at Stanford. Neil’s current research is supported by the Leverhulme Trust and Nuffield Department of Population Health.
