Morten Kjær Thomsen

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Morten first joined as a DPhil student in 2021 and has since taken up the position as Postdoctoral Research Fellow. 

Morten’s research centres around queer demography, the sociology of gender and sexuality, and mental health. He currently works on studies on gender and sexual minority populations, focusing on outcomes in health, the justice system, and the labour market. He is PI of QueerVict, a research project on LGBTI victims of crime.

Morten’s work is supported by the Clarendon Fund, The Danish Victims Fund, The Independent Research Fund Denmark, and the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science.

Research interests: Queer demography, gender and sexuality, families, social inequality, population health
