New study highlights troubling trends in midlife mortality in the US and UK

A new study by researchers at the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science and Princeton University reveals that US working-age adults are dying at higher rates than their peers in high-income countries; the UK is also falling behind. The study is published today in the International Journal of Epidemiology.

The relationship between early-life diseases and lifetime childlessness in Finland and Sweden

An international study involving the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science and University of Helsinki’s Institute for Molecular Medicine in Finland reveals a significant association between 74 early-life diseases and the likelihood of remaining childless throughout one's life, with 33 of these diseases prevalent in both women and men.
